Periodic Oral Examination

The dentist checks your oral health during the periodic oral examination. This means that the teeth, mucous membranes and gums are examined. If the inspection reveals that further care is required, we will draw up a care plan with you. We will also inform you when you are expected for your next check-up. Some people need a check-up once every six months, while for others a visit once a year is sufficient.

Treatment

The dentist performs a visual inspection of the mouth, during which, among other things, he or she looks for discolorations on the teeth and molars that may indicate a possible cavity or that a previously filled cavity has become larger. In the latter case, we will take an X-ray to examine the teeth “from the inside”.

The dentist also checks how well your existing fillings, crowns or bridges fit, how large the space is between your teeth and your gums and what your risk is for certain oral diseases as well as tooth decay and gum disease.

Invoices must be paid directly after your treatment at the front desk either by pin or cash. Each patient requires its own specific treatment, therefore, costs per patient may vary. Prices are according to the Dental Care Performance and Rate Decision of the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZA), valid from: 01-01-2022up to and including 31-12-2022.
