Denture

Is your existing denture due for replacement? Our clinical denture technicians, Jane Simin or Ron van Kooten, can make a high-quality denture that is completely tailored to your wishes.

Treatment

FIRST CONSULTATION
During the first consultation you can indicate your wishes to Ron or Jane. They will discuss the options with you and provide you with an estimate. If you accept the offer, a follow-up appointment can be scheduled.

During this appointment, an impression will be made of the upper or lower jaw if you only have a denture above or below or of the upper and lower jaw if you have a denture on both the upper and lower jaw.

From this impression a model is made on which a mould is fabricated to examine the exact edge of the denture, to make it fit comfortably.

BITE REGISTRATION
You will then come back for the occlusal assessment. This is necessary for the proper functioning of your jaw joints and to prevent wear and pain. Together with Ron or Jane, you determine the desired colour, position and shape of the teeth and Ron or Jane will start fabricating your final denture.

FITTING
The next appointment you will try the model. The position and colour of the teeth can be adjusted if necessary as this model is made of wax.

PLACEMENT
When the final denture is cast and ready it is placed during the final visit and any spots causing discomfort or pain can be adjusted.

AFTERCARE
Your denture must be cleaned, just like your natural teeth. Not cleaning can result in the inflammation of your gums. The best way to clean your denture is with a special brush and water and soap. Do not use toothpaste as it will abrade and damage your denture. You can also use special cleaning agents. For cleaning your gums you can use a soft toothbrush and some toothpaste.

Cost

The cost for manufacturing a denture are budgeted to measure in collaboration with your dentist since every patient has a unique set of teeth and individual wishes.

Invoices must be paid directly after your treatment at the front desk either by pin or cash. Each patient requires its own specific treatment, therefore, costs per patient may vary. Prices are according to the Dental Care Performance and Rate Decision of the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZA), valid from: 01-01-2022 up to and including 31-12-2022. Root Canal Treatment
Teeth and molars consist of a crown and one or more roots. The roots are anchored in the jaw under the gums. In each root runs a channel: the nerve or root canal. This canal contains nerve fibers and small blood vessels. If this tissue is irreparably damaged, for example after an injury, or is inflamed, the dentist performs a root canal treatment.
